The Sunday Pages is a weekly newsletter for paid subscribers that rounds up five interesting links for the week, recommends a book with highlights of about a dozen meaningful quotes from the book, and includes occasional updates on personal projects.

One of my pastors knew I was writing a lot about deconstruction, so he pulled me aside and said, “have you ever heard of this book?” I hadn’t, but he told me he thought I would find it interesting. Long story short: he was absolutely right.

This book helped me realize that there was language for not just the act of deconstruction, but the experience of deconstruction. And that there was precedent for it in the Christian tradition. A major concept from this book ended up being the backbone of chapter two of my book on deconstruction. Since writing that chapter, I’ve heard both John Mark Comer and Matt Chandler talk about how formative this book was in their lives.

Links Included: Understanding the ins and outs of anxiety, do you really need a therapist?, what is “weird” in politics right now, the anxiety of modern parenting, and battling the god of money.
