I’ve been writing more about spiritual formation lately. To me, spiritual formation and deconstruction—while they may or may not seem like it—go hand-in-hand. I’m still very much in the process of learning and understanding more about spiritual formation. I seems like, right now, many of the assumptions I’ve held for the last several years are being challenged. In a good way. Not that I’ve been entirely wrong, but my views are being sharpened and refined. It’s a good thing. I want to constantly be deepening my understanding.
This book served as such a helpful intro for me (no, it’s not John Mark Comer). After I read The Holy Longing by Ronald Rolheiser (which I’m sure I’ll feature on here in the future), I finished it wishing there was a Protestant version of that book. This book is the closest I’ve found to it so far.
